Tests that use Readback have this appearance:
The Reading box contains the last value read from the readback instrument, and the needle on the bar above it shows whether the value is within specification or not.

If communication with the readback instrument is not working then a light will appear in the top-right corner of the screen:

This “No Com” light means EasyCal is not getting any data back from whatever comms port (RS232 or GPIB) that is configured for this readback test. If this is the case then check:
- The correct cable is in place and connected
- If RS-232 is being used, check the cable is plugged into the right comms port
- Check the comms settings of the readback instrument (i.e. GPIB address or RS-232 baud rate, parity etc.) match those in the test procedure or in the Calibrating Instrument details.
If you still cannot identify the problem, go to the User-defined Readback Driver screen and use its Test Area to help you test communications between PC and instrument.
