CalRun is the calibration process within the EasyCal program suite. It allows the user to select from the instrument database the instrument to be calibrated and the procedure to be used. The main features are:
- Rapid selection of the instrument to be calibrated.
- A graphical user-interface to increase speed of data entry.
- Instruments which cannot be automatically calibrated can still have the results data entered manually. The entered value is compared with the required value as specified in the procedure.
At any stage during the calibration run a summary of the results for the tests completed can be displayed and printed out from Test Control. This is useful if the instrument does not pass the tests, or is faulty and needs to be sent for repair or adjustment. In these circumstances a calibration certificate is usually not required.
