Using Moxa Multiport Serial Adaptor

The Moxa USB serial adaptor is used for controlling a number of serial devices from a single USB port. They are available in 4 and 8 port configurations.

Once the software (supplied with the Moxa) is installed and the device is connected, the comm. ports need to be selected.

In device manager select ‘Multi-port serial adaptors’. Click on the ‘Ports Configuration’ tab.

For each port on the Moxa select the ‘Com No.’ required. This is the comm. port that will be specified in EasyCal. To save the configuration click ‘save’. It is important to do this. If the Moxa is connected to a different USB port, windows will see it as a new device and reallocate the comm. ports.

To confirm the comm. port settings, click on ‘Ports (Com & LPT).
