Bar Codes

To create a barcode using Crystal Reports a ‘formula field’ is required.

This is due the fact that barcode readers require a ‘*’ character before and after the string (text) converted to barcode.

Using the font 3 of 9 Barcode (installed with EasyCal) and a formula this can be achieved.

The easiest way is to copy and paste the ‘BarCode’ formula found in the IDLabel.rpt report. Below shows Crystal Reports Formula Workshop where a Barcode formula has been created for the Instrument ID.
